Roles and Responsibilities

William Candrick is a Director Analyst within Gartner's Risk and Security Management group. Mr. Candrick brings extensive experience researching cybersecurity management challenges, and regularly advises CISOs and their teams on maturing security and risk practices. In particular, Mr. Candrick focuses on incident response, security awareness, security metrics and security policies. In addition, he helps CISOs communicate with the c-suite, boards and senior stakeholders. Previously, Mr. Candrick was a Director & Lead Facilitator with Gartner's CISO Coalition. He served over 250 clients and helped security leaders develop and share solutions to top management challenges - including board reporting, security metrics, threat hunting, cost optimization and many more topics. Prior to joining Gartner, Mr. Candrick held research roles at CEB researching management best practices for CISOs and their teams.
