Thank you for the information. Is there an option for employees to secure externally delivered training with help of the company, if it is not organized by the L&D team? For example registering and paying for an external course just for an individual (versus organized by L&D for a group)?
Yes we do have a process. Employees need to take business approval for such trainings and business need should be justified. As these courses are not from L&D Catalogue, on approval, a course code is created to credit learning hours and track the training record on LMS. The cost is also reimbursed through the expense approval workflow on training completion. Claw back policy is applicable for such trainings. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Absolutely! Though 60% of the trainings happen internally, 40% is conducted through external sources including certifications by third party platforms/vendors. Any external learning based on business requirement is organized by L&D team, cost is charged back to business. Certifications can be reimbursed based on Manager's approval. Employees pay upfront, if they pass the certification exam, certification is uploaded in the tool, goes through approval workflow, once approved cost is reimbursed.
