We have 200mb down and 30mb up. With both my wife and I connected to corporate office over VPN and doing conference calls we have no problems whatsoever

Our previous home had 50mb down and 10mb up (2019) and we still could both work from home without any problems

We don’t have kids on 4 separate XBoxes though, just us working

I have 1.2 gb down and about 750 mb up - I would have to work hard to use it all

It would not change anything. I can't use all the bandwidth I already have.

We have unlimited data over a 100mb fibre link, running into meshed wifi across the house.

We don't really have a problem with this.

We could go up to 900mbps, but it doesn't seem worth it.

i think it depends on what kind of work we do and the place where we live. Average people in Mexico had 30 to  100 mb at home but many people say they can connect to meetings, but at my experience 50 mb it's enough for two people at work and maybe a young man playing video games
