If you could only choose one, would you focus on increasing revenue or decreasing expenses over the the next 12 months?

I picked increasing revenue as I believe that is a long term strategy.  cutting expenses is a short term strategy, and usually has other unintended consequences like lower employee moral.    That being said, the strategy I was almost always forced to follow was cutting expenses..... 95% of the time.
