We need IT/OT convergence, however, we also need to maintain and protect the operations.

Technically we do both, but I think most people would still keep them separate if only for the simplicity with regard to security and other concerns.

Thanks Michael, agreed feels like as manufacturing moderization accelerates the amount of intergration more preasure will be put on managing technical debt impacting technical and operational risks businesss will need to face eventually consider ways to evlove the model and coexist. <br><br>thanks for the reply!

Most of the application team I lead is in Brazil and the global IT leadership (US-based) now wants to move some of that work to a new global delivery center in India to be more cost effective, but I have doubts. The Brazil team is delivering good quality — is cost efficiency enough reason to relocate the work? What are the biggest pros/cons we need to consider?
