The biggest challenge is the lack of a structured approach and the requisite skill set to drive such initiatives effectively. As the industry as a whole is still in learning and evolutionary phase, more robust methodologies for tackling AI projects will emerge and mature over time.

The biggest obstacles to undertaking AI projects in companies include challenges related to data quality and privacy, the scarcity of skilled AI talent, resource allocation, defining clear objectives and use cases, integrating AI with existing systems, navigating regulations and ethics, explaining AI outputs, resistance to change, and dealing with uncertain outcomes.

Agree w Praniti I believe the matureness / understanding is an issue hence budget will be too in the end. A board rather spend money on something they understand, unfortunatley. That said we have successfully launched a machine learning project and RPAs and API driven architecture.. that said it involves a lot of trust on talent in house.
