Has anyone faced what you consider to be higher than necessary software renewal fees this year because of "inflation"?  Is this showing up for you as a real problem, or is this just the media blowing it out of proportion?

Yes, for sure we internaly calculated an inflation increase on renewal fees of 9% compared to previous years when the increase has been around 3 or 4% this really impact dirtectly on savings indicator, increasing IT Opex budget, and slowdown improvemenmt investments.

Yep. Qualitatively yes for cloud products. I wonder if it might be a emerging tea leafs or catalyst to press for onprem after 10+ years of cloud.

When poked vendor noted challenges getting staff, increased cost of security, and other influences that are rising costs.

The pickle is that it conflicts with the commodity model everybody was expecting was that as more and more people moved to the cloud the overall price aggregate get closer and closer to free . The Hotmail model.
