What are the best solutions for cloud security?

In my current role, the cloud security and infrastructure elements like that are different within this startup. The security angle is not what we're talking about there. But in my advisory role, I'm having a lot of conversations about the hybrid everything because there's on-prem, multicloud, etc. I even had a session recently where we identified basic vulnerabilities that are underneath it all.

I spent a lot of time on the security aspects of the foundational infrastructure. And think about bare metal and all the other aspects of a data center: there are a whole bunch of vulnerabilities across that, not just on the cloud side. But when I'm in conversation with many of these fortune 10 companies, the things they're struggling with a lot are around cloud security, every aspect of it—you could have 2,500 vectors in just 1 suite.
There is no silver bullet solution, I don't think anybody has it figured out. We just need to continue to use the tools that we know, love and hate simultaneously, around processes, education, and walking down—as much as we can—endpoint compute devices, etc., and look constantly for suspicious behavior out there.
Whether it's coming from individuals or from devices, whether it's unusual traffic on the network or otherwise, it's really the only thing that we can do. The cloud hasn't necessarily made that any worse than it was but perhaps it's made it easier than it was in the past to do something dangerous in a single push button mode. It wasn't always as easy for you to do that.
Solving the issue of cloud security is the next frontier. In my current role, we've made some big investments as a company in that space because we think there will be a winner or handful of winners over time. This is a problem that won’t be solved by individual companies. It's going to be solved by technology-led solution providers. We'll see who comes out on the top at the end of it.
