Roman's input and perspectives are spot on. My only additional recommendation is that there have to be very clear goals and objectives. Those strategic, targeted outcomes need to be linked to performance (KPIs) to monitor performance and provide real-time feedback. An effective leader will empower their team while investing in coaching team members on how to make strategic decisions.

I guess, it's essential to understand the organizational goals and align the team's objectives with the broader company vision, mission, and long-term strategies. Engaging with key stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations is crucial, as building relationships with these stakeholders can help in gaining support for strategic initiatives.

Communicating the value the team brings to the organization is another important aspect. This can be achieved by showcasing successful projects, highlighting key achievements, and demonstrating how the team's work contributes to the overall success of the organization. Additionally, investing in developing the team's strategic capabilities is necessary. This could involve training, hiring strategic thinkers, and encouraging a culture of innovation and forward-thinking.

It's also vital to integrate the team with the organization's strategic planning processes. This can be done by participating in strategic meetings, contributing to strategic discussions, and aligning the team's projects with the organization's strategic priorities. Implementing a robust system for measuring and reporting the impact of the team's work is essential.

Lastly, fostering a culture of continuous improvement is important. Regularly reviewing and refining processes, staying updated with industry trends, and seeking feedback ensures the team remains aligned with the strategic direction of the organization.
