I think the rise of the gig economy is creating new opportunities for people to find jobs that don't require extensive prior experience. Platforms such as Fiverr and Upwork allow people to offer their services on a freelance basis.

Recently, Walmart decided to remove the College Degree Requirements From Hundreds Of Corporate Job Descriptions. I think scenario will continue to change and evolve as AI access and usage become more common.

I’m noticing these trends: businesses facing hiring challenges due to high experience requirements and the demand for knowledge of proprietary systems. In this changing job market where skills and potential are gaining prominence, I’m curious about how organizations can adapt.

What are your thoughts on fostering innovative talent acquisition strategies that address these issues? Your insights can help shape solutions for businesses striving for diversity and inclusivity in their workforce.

No one was Hired as a CEO out of college unless they started their own company...We learn on the job, so absolutely okay to hire with no prior experience in that particular field as long as the attitude and hard work ethic are there.

Agreed, and thanks for the comment.

It is ok to hire with no prior experience, true, however, what I’m wondering is… do we see this happening? I see and talk to many that the front door of that business says (3 to 5 year’s experience)

I do see this on a variety of scales. However, these roles tend to be the larger cities or college towns. There seems to be a middle layer of business that is missing in some communities and spaces yet also ages people out.

For instance, do these same businesses hire older, out of school, or people with some or little experience who want to move to something they are more passionate about?

I ask these questions to gain insight. That insight will be gathered and looked at by this community to gain a consensus.
