Huge loss for Amazon. Win for Pentagon and Microsoft. Amazon needs to separate its businesses and be more secure. Chief Transformation Architect (Consulting) in Software, 10,001+ employees
The herd mentality perception with the Federal and Financials sector, translating into adjustments to the price model to compensate for weakened competitiveness. Also, the interesting but totally opaque issue is, to what degree Bezos relatinships with the Administration was the factor and what will be the leaaons learned.

Microsoft has become the new IBM and most of their market value is in business infrastructure. AWS isn't going anywhere. Director in Finance (non-banking), 10,001+ employees
Loss of a large contract and inferred ability... definitely reputational impactDirector in Software, 10,001+ employees
A great win for MS Azure a solid product by itself yet considered by many to be playing second fiddle to AWS. Also opens up doors for other players like IBM, ORCL etc. IMO limited impact to AWS as they still continue to lead the space and keep growing. It is a big loss for Amazon and big win for Microsoft. ISSO and Director of the IRU in Healthcare and Biotech, 10,001+ employees
That is a huge loss however, amazon is taking over everything and I think the federal government feels safer with Microsoft products which we are used too. Content you might like
