AI seems more like the early days of html and websites. Initially people used it for sharing basic information, texts, docs, eventually pictures. Later share videos and started “shopping” and other businesses

AI will have other growth that is difficult to imagine at the moment but in the future we will look back as say “Why didn’t I think of an online book store “

No, I don't think so. I think AI is here with us to stay. While I might not count out crypto, I think AI is less about the hype.
