We are considering switching TEMS (Telecommunication Expense Management System) service providers. We are experiencing issues with creating customized reports. We want a system that allows customization of reports for immediate creation. We require automated bill receipt (4,000 invoices per month), auditing and payment of those invoices, inventory of services and access to the system holding all billing and inventory data. Has anyone gone through a conversion from one TEMS provider to another of this magnitude? Does anyone utilize a current TEM service provider capable of supporting a large spend ($7.5M per month) and providing good customer service with a user friendly interface?

We are on the same journey. Not at your scale, but are in need of switching TEMS. This was posted a while ago, but it would be great to hear how you approached this and where you ultimately landed.
Switching TEMS service providers of the magnitude you described can be a complex undertaking. While I don't have information on specific cases, many organizations have gone through similar conversions, especially those dealing with large spends and high volumes of invoices.
To find a new TEMS provider that can support your requirements, consider the following steps:
Identify your needs: Clearly define your organization's requirements, including customization of reports, automated bill receipt and payment, auditing capabilities, inventory management, and the user-friendly interface you desire. This will help you evaluate potential providers more effectively.
Research TEMS providers: Look for TEMS providers that have experience serving clients with similar needs and volumes. Check their websites, customer testimonials, case studies, and industry reviews to gauge their capabilities, expertise, and customer service track record.
Request proposals and demos: Reach out to selected TEMS providers and request detailed proposals based on your specific requirements. Ask for demonstrations of their systems to evaluate the user interface, customization options, and ease of use.
Evaluate customer service: During the evaluation process, pay attention to the level of customer service provided by each vendor. You can request references from their existing clients to inquire about their experiences with customer support and responsiveness.
Consider scalability: Ensure that the TEMS provider you choose can handle your current spend of $7.5 million per month and has the scalability to accommodate future growth.
Contract and implementation: Once you have selected a TEMS provider, negotiate contract terms that include service level agreements (SLAs) and implementation timelines. Work closely with the new provider during the transition period to ensure a smooth migration of data and processes.
Remember that every organization's needs and experiences may vary. It's important to conduct your own research, gather insights from relevant industry peers, and consult with your internal teams or IT departments to make an informed decision that aligns with your organization's unique requirements and budgetary considerations.
Has anyone seen a magic quadrant for TEMS recently?
Hi Gaven, I don't know if there is any TEMS provider that can help with your problem. In my humble opinion, maybe you can develop it from scratch or use any Data Analytics Platform. You may develop the customization report on different applications as long as you can extract the data from your existing TEMS.
