We have a small contact center (less than 250 agents) and we are looking for a good and affordable cloud solution outside the top 5 providers (Genesys, Five9, Nice, TalkDesk and Amazon). Any recommendation or experience you'd like to share?

I would call AWS a top provider, but it may be perfect for your project. AWS provides a lot of trainings and certifications for operators, so it is quite easy to build a skill set in unexperienced team.
