Such solutions are designed to be easily integrated with other systems and implemented in the future. Engineering's IT systems are used to manage over 29 million meters and clients. In Italy, 14 million gas meters and clients (40%), 5.2 million electricity meters and clients (8%, but over 50% if we don't consider ENEL) and 8.5 million water meters (44%) are managed by Engineering's systems. These market shares are really relevant and have been built over the years thanks to Engineering's approach of sharing knowledge with the market. |
With regard to the Water service, Engineering has been able to support the process of company aggregation experimented in Italy in recent years. For example, following the compulsory market reorganization, the numbers of public utilities operating in the Water sector has shrunk from 8.000 to about 90. Engineering has been able to assist clients in managing a wider territory partly through projects involving the merger of different information systems. |
