Cost Allocation is crucial. Data Analytics is less important usually done with BI.

We are in the early stages of looking at the DataBricks solution. Databricks mentioned that for some components they have a Managed Service (branded Serverless Option).  1. SQL Warehouses 2. Jobs Compute (Workflows) 3. Notebooks / Interactive Workbooks 4. Model Serving 

I wondered if anyone had looked at the pros and cons of hosting these services on their own cloud platform vs going for the Databricks hosted / managed option and any insights? 

I consider cloud computing an important part of my digital transformation strategy.
