The increase of Hybrid and remote work signals a shift towards more trust and autonomy.   In the short term the manager will likely need to do more heavy lifting to keep people informed and aligned.  However Organizations which lean into trust and pay attention to how information is shared more openly, transparently, and easily, the need for managers to 'translate' or curate information goes away.

Organizations can make a few changes rights away include defaulting to transparency, experimenting with working in public via MS teams or slack, and making reports like financial reports and strategic plans easier to understand for everyone.
