There is most certainly a place for low code/no code platforms. These are rapid application development tools, may not be meant for enterprise grade applications but does boosts huge developer productivity gain. 

Imagine, writing code and an application to transform manual back-office tasks, it would take considerable effort to develop, test, promote it to production. Add to it, maintain the TLM going forward. Of course, not all use cases are suitable for low code, so we really need to define when to use low code and when to custom develop. Likewise, it is crucial to have a governance strategy in place to scale.
