We don’t declare “primary” officially so we can keep the vendors competing on price. Always have a very viable alternative and use them for at least 10% of workload and perhaps 25%. Your true primary vendor should always be afraid they will become secondary. I’ve mentioned this in the past- Your exit strategy is as important as your onboarding strategy, so plan both at the same time

I agree and even though AWS is our primary based on spend we keep all the others hungry
