Potential disruption is usually the biggest barrier. ERP systems are business‑critical and tightly coupled to finance, supply chain, and operations, so even minor downtime carries outsized risk. The fear is less about cloud security or cost and more about business continuity during migration, data integrity, and change management. Successful moves mitigate this through phased migrations, dual‑run strategies, and clear ownership across IT and business.
