I get that they have "infinite" resources especially now a part of Favebook but ultimately is Whatsapp enterprise capable? If zoom has security concerns and issues I can't imagine Whatsapp would be any better? Would love to hear from some CISOs their gut thoughts...

It wouldn’t be my primary platform choice (due to privacy concerns), but I would like it to interface with our current HW solution which is EPOS

We are a Microsoft Teams shop with all the features it has
A point solution of conferencing and text wouldn’t be helpful. However with the Microsoft outage recently it does make me wonder about short term disaster coverage if their outages increase or were more than 1-3 hours

I agree with Peter, Chris D and Chris O.

We banned Zoom for security concerns (we can join a session but cannot host one).

We're a Microsoft Shop and for now, Teams makes a very good job beside some flaws (outage, slowness).

We replaced all phones with Microsoft Teams and so far, no real issue.

However, saying this, as Teams become so critical for us, clearly, any downtime is measured and recorded.   At the end of the day, more than 50,000 employees depend on Teams for their work.

Having a PLAN B has to be considered.   But Whatsapp isn't part of it.   Cisco Webex is probably better suited for us.

Without a doubt - Technical Debt! It's a ball and chain that creates an ever increasing drag on any organization, stifles innovation, and prevents transformation.

Try RL Canning out of Chicago we used them for our Service Desk for years. I have sales contacts if you need them. Connect to me if you’d like a brief conversation first.
