Curious how have you incorporated smart home devices such as Google Home, Alexa, and smart appliances into your life?  Do privacy and security concerns hold you back from bringing them into your house, or does the convenience they provide and the desire to play with tech outweigh that for you?

I personally use Smart home devices and IOT. I do limit my selection to technology that supports:
1. Auto updates without my interaction
2. Segmentation of my home network to separate work, home, and smart home devices.
3. Allow for easy identification that video or voice listening is occurring.
4. Allow for disabling of video or voice listening.

I personally use some of the smart home tools (Google home, Nest, Ring, some baby monitoring, etc.) out of convenience. I do weigh the risks and always ensure 2FA is enabled on the accounts. I tend to use reputable brands vs. some of the cheap no name ones that may introduce additional risk to my network and privacy.

We've come a long way with IoT, and I think with proper controls in place, we are fine-ish 👌
