Which ECM tool would you recommend to archive, share and protect R&D knowledge assets (e.g. technical reports)?

Have you looked into Adobe Experience Manager Assets (DAM)? I know many are using it for document management as well.

There are plenty of sophisticated platforms that provide ECM capabilities like OpenText (xECM, Content Server, Documentum), Hyland (Nuxeo, Alfresco, OnBase), Microsoft SharePoint (best suited for collaboration), IBM Filenet. 
All of them offer sophisticated information/document lifecycle management. I would focus on what regulatory requirements does your organization need to comply? How the documents will be ingested, retrieved, and retained? What is the cloud strategy SaaS or self hosting you would need? Business process management need?

Each platform has their highs and lows. Also consider the costs of storage based on volume and data that will be stored.

I have experience with most of them and have seen complex implementations across the board.

We are in the process of modernizing our legacy system, which was built on Siebel CRM and has accumulated a significant amount of address-related data. We have two primary objectives: 1. Cleanse existing address data by identifying and correcting records to meet USPS-compliant formatting. 2. Enable real-time validation for new address entries. We’ve explored third-party vendors, such as Melissa and Google, but ran into challenges due to cost or the lack of a trial version to confirm compatibility with our environment. We’re exploring the option of using the USPS Address Matching System (AMS) API, but USPS does not offer a trial version. Has anyone encountered a similar situation and can share how they addressed it? Has anyone used, or is currently using, the USPS AMS API, and if so, could you share your experience? 

Curious to hear how organizations are leveraging observability tools in relation to their ITSM platforms. Where is the source of truth for SLAs/SLOs? How is application dependency mapping handled? Is there integration between the two technologies? We are using Dynatrace (observability) and ServiceNow (ITSM), for reference.
