For any matters which may have financial implications (fraud, embezzlement)- we immediately involve forensic investigations and an independent party to undertake the investigation while ensuring that alleged person is removed from the decision making process. This ensures that the investigation is undertaken swiftly, reliably and be placed as evidence for any legal proceedings to be initiated. Board is apprised on a timely basis. Similarly for employee matters - depending on the severity of the matter of investigation, an internal committee takes it forward with a clear SOP or an external agency is hired.

Taking a team approach provides a comprehensive way to assess issues, understand the stakeholders, and prevent a single point of view from dominating the outcome.  This requires understanding what is being investigated and what the potential outcomes look like.  To do this successfully, multiple professionals participate to provide a shared roadmap to investigating workplace issues.
