The price of data can be computed using two approches:
- Using the price of aqcuisition (how it will costs to collect and process the same data again)
- Using cost opportunity: How much you will loose if you dont have this data in you company (For this, you need to be able to measure the impact of data analytics)
The used method depends on the type of the data and its criticity.

Hi,
For me it depends on whether you are intending to value it internally or to sell it.
For internal valuation you need to consider how essential the data is to the business and how reliant on it you are, and for what purposes.
For example is it essential to critical business processes, does it impact growth, returns, risk?
This information may have already been used to define your critical data so that may be a good starting point if you have this already.
Another aspect is how much is your data worth to another business? How much will they depend on it. Is it part of an essential process in your relationship? There are many factors that could come into play here as the perceived value may differ between different businesses.
Hope this is OK as a short answer. Please contact again for further discussion.
