We're at an early stage with AI, having just approved a framework and strategy. My IT teams are eager to access AI tools, but we lack some foundational elements, such as a revised AI policy and necessary legal work. Training is also needed to establish guardrails around AI use, particularly concerning PII. While the teams are enthusiastic, I've had to slow them down until we have the proper governance and policies in place. The challenge is ensuring we have the necessary infrastructure and training to support AI initiatives.

Our teams are very enthusiastic about GenAI. The challenge lies in determining the appropriate applications and ensuring we have the right tools and governance in place. While everyone is eager to use AI, we need to ensure we have the necessary process documents and governance. We are cautious about allowing AI to take control of tasks and are focused on testing home-grown tools. Our CIO has committed to funding the IT team to ensure everyone has access to these tools, which helps maintain enthusiasm and engagement.

Our IT teams remain enthusiastic about GenAI applications. Many tasks, especially within ITSM functions, are repetitive and manual. This has sparked numerous inquiries about leveraging AI to streamline these processes. We are in discussions with ServiceNow to explore these possibilities. However, a significant challenge is the lack of strategic focus on AI at the board level, as the priority is often on enhancing clinical care rather than IT functions. This prioritization means limited funding for IT innovations. To maintain enthusiasm, we rely on platform providers to introduce built-in capabilities that we can utilize without significant investment.
