I'm looking for input from large enterprises and not the perspective of GSIs: What are the major issues you face while managing and developing your partner ecosystem in the current context of growing complexity in technology & value chains + expanding number of potential partners + highly volatile startups?

Not sure where you are driving to. In very simple terms we very aggressively reduce the number of partners, as well as applications. We regularly go through consolidation efforts to reduce the number of partners in particular those that come in via our acquisitions. The Service Owners typically get goals to reduce partners and that in itself reduces complexity. Can you clarify what you want?
In response to your question about managing and developing a partner ecosystem amidst the growing complexity of technology, value chains, and the increasing number of volatile startups, here are some recommendations tailored to large enterprises:
1- Adopt Standardized Integration Frameworks and APIs: Implementing standardized integration frameworks and APIs will help your enterprise accommodate a wide range of partners. This approach will streamline the integration process, facilitate collaboration, and reduce time to market for new partnerships.
2- Implement a Robust Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Framework: Establishing a robust GRC framework is essential for continuously monitoring and assessing partners’ adherence to security, legal, and operational standards. Incorporating automation tools within this framework can further optimize the compliance process, ensuring a consistent and efficient approach to managing partner relationships.
