Ransomware is your biggest concern. The bad actors want money and Ransomware has been an easy trick to get to data files, encrypt them and ask for money. Never pay them and never respond to their demands if you run into this type of situation.

It is only too easy to spent a lot of time and money on tools / solutions / safeguards that look great on the paper but bring little value. Making sure you understand your threat landscape, business strategy, risk appetite, company culture and continue adjusting your security program accordingly and continually should be the the key focus of the CISOs – and key concern of the board.
It all comes down to how they can know that there’s no adversaries in their network.
