People are product of their environment. Give people cross-functional responsibilities and they will scale. They will struggle for first few sprints and leaders need to support during this early phase. Result will be worth the effort for all.

Your Scrum team needs to be self-sufficient, and everyone should be working toward the same business outcome. It’s helpful to make sure that everyone involved feels ownership over the process. It should feel like our Scrum process, not just engineering’s Scrum process. Schedule everybody’s work ahead of time — you should have your next two to three Sprint’s worth of work already planned — and always make sure that everybody on the team is working on the highest priority items.
