Are you using any iPaaS (integration platform as a service) solutions for integration or are you doing your own point to point?
But you have to have the underlying products that allow for the integrations.
Mostly, all modern solutions now have rest APIs that you can hook into.
We thought that too, but when you start looking at interesting use cases, you find out that the rest APIs are minimal. To use Workday as an example, we want to expose the inbox for students in our portal because they don't go into Workday, but they do go into our portal. Workday allows us to expose the inbox items for workers, but not for students. It just means we're asking deeper questions than we used to, because we used to ask, "Do you have rest APIs? Can you do this?" Now we're getting into the nitty gritty and saying, "Show us." Because I don't know what I want to use later, but I know I want to make sure you have them.
