We are looking at migrating from SAP ECC to S/4HANA. As part of this migration process we would like to conduct a Proof of Concept (PoC) for the migration - in particular when deciding to go brownfields or greenfields. Has anyone conducted a PoC with a SAP Service Provider, and do you have any lessons learned or feedback on the migration process?
Local Customer Engagement team should be able to share examples or potentially people/partners to contact. Also, consider asking this question in the S4 Community.
Hi Roel, we just wanted to get feedback and lessons learnt from SAP clients rather than from SAP. Good idea to post it on the S4 Community. Thanks
You're welcome.
FYI - Customer Engagement (post Sales) is closely working with customers to maximise ROI. They could assist you finding customer contacts. (this is potentially different from existing touchpoints)
POC with our data. To view our data in the S/4HANA system and understand the ease/complexity of using the new system.
What works and what doesn’t if we do a lift and shift of ECC into S/4HANA - that includes a subset of master and transactional data, setup, existing config etc.
Genral feel of how Fiori works compared to traditional GUI.
What sort of training is required by the BPE’s prior to going live with S/4HANA and assess what sort of training will be required by all the end users.

Hi Nicole, the PoC would look at testing both the migration process and the capabilities of S/4HANA. Thanks
