We recently rolled out a Starlink network connection as a second link (in addition to existing fiber link) through a local partner (in France). It works well but we had the bad surprise to discover a change in Starlink offer. Since may 1st, once the amount of data ordered (1 Tb) is reached, the bandwidth is dramaticly reduced (previously it was meant to be unprioritized). Does anyone has any significant experience in Starlink network and the contractaul evolution over time?

You might have to put some traffic policies in place to determine which traffic gets to use the link. i.e. backup traffic might have to wait for the primary fiber link to become available? Alternatively, You could upgrade to a 2TB plan. https://www.starlink.com/service-plans/business

I work remote, and my location is rural. No fiber or cable available. We acquired Starlink as soon as it was available in our area in the U.S. (We were on a waiting list for 6 months or so.) We have yet to approach the 1TB throttle you are experiencing, but here in the states, from the beginning, a stipulation was clear that if you reach a predetermined threshold, your service would experience throttling. If that ever happens with my account, the reduced bandwidth will still beat our other available options.
