Message retention period cannot not be same across organisation, it’s depends on the regulatory requirements, employee department and seniority of the employee.

We are in the early stages of looking at the DataBricks solution. Databricks mentioned that for some components they have a Managed Service (branded Serverless Option). 1. SQL Warehouses 2. Jobs Compute (Workflows) 3. Notebooks / Interactive Workbooks 4. Model Serving

I wondered if anyone had looked at the pros and cons of hosting these services on their own cloud platform vs going for the Databricks hosted / managed option and any insights?
