For those that have adopted container technology, are you rolling your own management platform from OSS components, or buying one off the shelf (OpenShift, Rafay, Portainer, Rancher, Mirantis, VMware)?
At what companies do software engineering teams use Cloud Development Environments (CDEs) such as GitHub Codespaces, Gitpod, Codeanywhere, Coder, Replit, and CodeSandbox? How common is using these services?
What is your organization doing to build out internal skill sets for infrastructure cloud and supporting areas?
Does anyone (CIO preferably) have any experience with Tanzu Mission Control to manage Kubernetes workloads? We are an SME structure in Health regulation and nearly have this solution in production. Can you please share your feedback (good and bad) around implementation and run into a comparable structure? (We manage more or less an equivalent to 400 VM and 40 applications)
Do you think containers will eventually replace virtual machines?

Hello all, my company has a Maximo implementation and we are about to start the upgrade to the recently released (and freshly containerized) Maximo 8 (otherwise known as Maximo Application Suite). We have been hearing that the MAS upgrade path is difficult. Does anyone have any experience with upgrades from Maximo 7.x to MAS/Maximo 8? Was it difficult? Expensive? What are your lessons learned? What are the things you wished you knew before you started? What are the questions you should have asked when planning the upgrade? Do you have any customizations? etc.
100% containerized applications is not yet an achievable goal.
