In general, 4-5 years is the expected life span for large equipment like Core or Distribution Switches, Servers, HCI/HCIS, Storages, etc. PCs (notebooks and desktops) are between 3 and 5 years. Firewalls may go 3 years, depending on their capacity and updated features. Commodities like IP PBX, handsets, printers, access points, monitors may go less or more than 5 years, depending on the criticality and reported incidents.
