I think it depends on what you are looking to achieve… Big events for branding are excellent for many reasons, hard to measure a direct ROI though, but goodwill most definitely gets a boost. Easier to measure ROI from a small and intimate event, ROI could be measured in incremental dollars but also in feedback and networking…

I’m still bullish on micro-gatherings. They allow for more intimacy, specificity, and vulnerability.

100% the intimate, personal smaller events are way more impactful and practical than a large conference. Very bullish on mico gatherings!

1000% small and intimate. What has worked well for us is piggybacking on a larger conference and hosting the intimate VIP-type gathering.

I agree small and impactful. Larger events can be harder to stand out among the sensory overload.

I would have to agree here, our last event in Beverly Hills, we barely attended the large event as we had close to 27 meetings and 2 dinners. A lot of pipeline generation, but we were worn out at the end of this 3 day cross country trip. :-)

For me, in-person & intimate events are definitely a winner!

Many thanks to Kayla Green for bringing this to my attention. Interesting that Webinars are still producing great results. I would agree. The webinars I've done with partners lately have done very well with attendance. They are great for building community.
