1:1 meetings are the best resource to get to know each one of the individuals and establish a good starting point for a relationship. A casual event such as a lunch will foster a collaboration environment that will be essential in working and thriving as a team.

One thing that I've found helpful was leading by example and facilitating open communication.  Starting out, I work with them on projects asking for their input.
