I was reflecting about a recent article published by the BBC: "AI's solution to the 'cocktail party problem' used in court" (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c5yk5mdj9gxo) In my opinion is interesting because: It cover a field (also military...) of research where there are studies and papers around with wide adoption scenarios: isolating individual voices or specific footprint in noisy environments; That's a court, the importance in legal contexts, where audio evidence can be unclear and AI is used to elaborate evidences. There is a lot to discuss about but my tricky question is: AI processing becomes as reliable as human hearing, how eyewitness (or "earwitness") testimony is valued in court?
I believe we should trust to the AI13%
I believe evidences should remain untouched 53%
I trust and relying to the humans59%
I believe we should first define standard, globally if possible 38%
I believe we should find the right compromise in both9%
I have no ideas
