I clarify that my team helps companies to set engineering effectiveness practices and metrics and we measure “waste” as a way to improve effectiveness, then we remove it and then measure the outcome of the SDLC process end to end in business terms TTM/Revenue. That will make the metrics drive to the right outcome customer value not only cost reduction.
