We have 3 node sql cluster with one node on different location for DR. Also, the availability group setting is synchronous+auto failover on the two nodes that's on the same site, and asynchronous+manual failover on the DR node. Aside from network/latency, what are other reasons why we should/should not use synchronous/auto failover on all our nodes?
