Will move to three days in office from two

Director of Talent Management2 years ago

RTO can mean different things based on where the organization was prior to Covid. I am with a different company now than I was with Covid. My prior company went fully remote for all corporate based employees, and slowly opened back up for those that wanted to come in. They are now moving to a RTO for everyone, and that's a hybrid schedule. Company wide communication was sent out in several different formats, explaining expectations of all employees who live in proximity to the corporate headquarters would be required to begin reporting to the office on a regular basis. Exactly what this looked like for each team was handled by department/leader as each of their needs were different.

For my current company, our corporate office is still hybrid and besides a few executives who choose to be here 5 days a week, nobody else is in office 5 days. They discussed possibly going to a everyone back more often/4 days a week, but it never took shape for a variety of reasons. We have a handful of remote employees, but majority of the office is here 2-3 days a week.

For context, both companies are in the manufacturing/warehouse space so the vast majority of our workforce has been onsite everyday through the covid times. The coporate offices were the exception.
