This may be implied in the “Long Term Support” option, but I feel it’s worth explicitly stating that InfoSec is a considerable risk on Open Source depending on where you’re sourcing the technology. For example - if you get a Windows or MacOS update you know it’s signed and you have a sense of the processes inside those companies. But what is your route of trust for other software from organizations who don’t have teams of lawyers working for them or individual developers? How do you audit the code supply chain so you have confidence that proper research has gone into identifying licenses for imported modules?
