Has anyone here successfully implemented large (multiple hundred schemas/ databases) scale data governance program using Informatica Data Governance Products - EDC, AXON and Data Quality tools? Technical challenges/limitations and licensing model have been our challenges in pushing this forward.  I would love to know your experience and appreciate any suggestions.

We have been running EDC, Axon and IDQ since ~2020 but with a smaller data landscape. We are just starting conversations with their cloud team to move to their cloud offerings. Happy to share learnings - we were able to get everything up and running but the on-prem solution has been very temperamental.

We started with EDC and Axon but were never able to successfully get them up and running.  After much frustration, we moved to their cloud data governance platform.  That has been working for 1-2 years for us now, but we find many limitations.  In general, one of our biggest issues as been the limited ability to use APIs to interact with the platform.  We had planned to load data lineage from multiple internal systems and have not been able to do so if those systems don't have a built in Informatica connector (which is mostly needs Informatica processing tools).  We are now starting to look for a more open solution and hope to move off of IDGC in the future.

Thank you, Chris. Appreciate your input. We have been facing some limitations too but pushing ahead with the core functionality and resolving some gaps by building custom processes leveraging available APIs. Please let me know if you find a better alternative.
