Has anyone used an "alternative term/naming convention" for a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)?   Currently the PIP has a negative feel organizationally and we would like to rebrand the idea that a PIP can have positive outcomes vs an avenue to termination.

Individual Support Plan may be an alternative which suggests more we do our best to support an individual to help them improve

We use PIPs but the first stage is a “Getting on Track” plan that we call a GOT plan. It reframes a pip as more of a development opportunity that can lead to a positive outcome.

I really like this concept!  Do you have a template that you can share that reflects the GOT plan?
