Has anyone used HANA direct query to view HANA data in Power BI? We are currently using it but getting a random data retrieval error that corrects upon refresh. Have you experienced similar error? If so, how did you resolve?

Yes we are using HANA direct query to view HANA data in Power BI and not experienced any error till date.

We also get such errors at times and have been able resolve these kind of problems by one or more of these approaches.
1. Check connectivity 2. Update drivers 3. Refresh configuration 4. Check SAP HANA Logs 5. Engage HANA support team.

The frequency of retrieval errors has been 1-2 times in a quarter, and we have been able to resolve such issues mostly ourselves by applying any of first 4 approaches. We had also involved SAP HANA support team on isolated occasions when error kept coming despite refresh and stable connectivity.

With SAP sunsetting support of BPC in 2027, what are other companies moving to for Consolidations and FP&A? We are on a S/4 Hana implementation journey right now, having implemented Central Finance and S/4 for one of our business lines. The roadmap is showing Group Reporting and SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning but curious what other companies are moving to?

What is a "must have" meeting for you or your team? If you can please share why/what makes it so great - topic, frequency, etc. - I'm looking to brainstorm some fresh opportunities for my group.

If a mid size bank wants to create its own CHATGPT + its own data (like policy, procedures etc.) loaded into it for fast retrieval and search, what advice folks will have for the reference architecture and components/tools that might be needed to accomplish that? Any thoughts on resources and cost will also be welcome.
