Hiring Pace:

1) Recruiter should understand the skill profile.
2) Shorten Tech Assessment Exams
3) Have CTO/Hiring IT Manager as the last step as much as possible.

When I joined Tide 5 years ago, I was the 25th employee and the ninth engineer. Since then we have experienced constant hyper growth. We are now approximately 1,000 Tideans (300 engineers) and are still growing as expected.

Scaling up was challenging, especially in the beginning when we were smaller and only hiring in a couple of locations. But we have learned the markets well and have been working methodically as we learn from past mistakes. Scaling up teams in particular is not that difficult if you know how the market works, and it’s a bit easier now that we are global. But I have to admit that even though it sounds easy when I reflect back on it, at the time it was very stressful.
