The IT system will greatly benefit from changes in the use of GenAI in new technologies.
AI in all its forms will continue to be the "hot take", but those discussions will include ethics in data and data gathering methods. An AI is only as good as its data.
For me, LLM Security is "hot take" for IT in 2024.
Definitely second that for companies that have LLMs in place. For organizations still pondering with a strategic approach, there is also the big question around ROI for GenAI/AgenticAI on a company level over time.

AI and Automation is redefining the way we work in 2024 as many organisations are under pressure to cut overall spending. I can see that, public cloud providers are under pressure as many customers are exiting or in process of exit due to higher than expected cloud cost. All hyper scalers are offering value added cloud services to retain customers. All expecting a recession or economic slowdown, so I believe cost cutting techniques gonna be “hot take” for rest of 2024..
Utilize AI to scale up operations and automation. Use AI to do the data gathering and summarization so humans can spend time on effective decision making.
