Focus on conveying the purpose!

The delivery is not the purpose. The purpose is the why behind the desired results.
The team is a human cooperation, not a machine that delivers. Tell them why we do what we do, along with feedback on how it goes.

As a Service Delivery and Support Manager, I've learned that the most successful teams aren't measured by their metrics—they're built on a foundation of strong relationships and a positive culture.

First, let's challenge the notion that results and relationships are mutually exclusive. In my experience, they're actually symbiotic. A team that feels supported and valued will likely deliver outstanding results. Conversely, consistently achieving goals builds confidence and strengthens team bonds.

The key to striking this balance starts with establishing clear expectations. When everyone understands what success looks like, both in terms of metrics and behavioral standards, they can align their efforts accordingly.

There are several key points to focus on to find the right balance:
- Using the power of recognition
- Building resilience through individual and team support
- Empathy and respect when having crucial conversations
- Measuring what matters

For the success of the team, it is not always about the numbers but the journey we take together to achieve productivity and working toward a positive team culture.
