How / What have people established for Cloud Governance? I've reviewed Gartner docs on CCOE and adoption etc but keen to know what peers have done. Also has anyone taken Gartner Preventative and Restrospective cloud controls to implementation?

Many organizations establish Cloud Centers of Excellence (CCOE) for governance, following Gartner's guidance. Peers often implement Gartner's Preventative and Retrospective cloud controls to enhance security and compliance in their cloud environments.

We’re a Microsoft Azure shop so we’re leveraging their recommendations around cloud governance. CCOE is something we’ve started up but realize that not all parts of IT (particularly our current Ops teams) are not trained so it hasn’t progressed as well as I would have hoped. Realize that if your skills are not spread out evenly or people are not all bought in, the CCOE may end up being overkill or even an inhibitor
