How are you rolling out CoPilot to your organization? Big bang as a grand experiment or a slower drip to smaller groups over time?

thank you Robert
We have a Microsoft CoPilot "Pioneer" Program where we seek to provide CoPilot licenses to just colleagues who display strong passion / acumen to explore and try various potential use cases with CoPilot and/or when an Executive Committee member 'nominates' someone to be a pioneer as they have suscipion that there is a strong use case to use CoPilot with for that colleague's work.
Love this pioneer idea Eric !
Started slowly addressing specific use-cases where most benefit was expected. The rollout is now speading up and expanding.
We’re rolling out CoPilot gradually, starting with marketing and legal due to the data they handle. After completing a DPIA and putting in place strong data governance and access controls, we rely on Microsoft’s security features to protect data during CoPilot use. The legal team is currently testing CoPilot for contract reviews. While it helps with drafting and summarizing, it lacks the depth for detailed legal analysis (Law Insider performs better there). We remain committed to GDPR requirements and ISO standards, but balancing compliance with usability is ongoing. Training is provided, though adoption takes time. Feedback loops help catch issues early, and it’s clear this rollout isn’t fully approved or flawless yet. It’s a cautious process to avoid mistakes while learning to use the tool safely.
thank you Beniamino
To smaller groups first and see the impact and benefits and then decide for larger rollout. Do also note that security aspect in terms of data etc...is very key and hence it is best to avoid a big bang approach.
Agreed, we see that there may be unintentional discovery
We have our own tenant and rolled it out to the enterprise as a "Big Bang" after a small pilot group.
